House Strategy Session

A £950 fixed-price session with a chartered architect to understand what’s possible with your home, before committing to a full design service.

Most people at the start of a project want to know what the building will allow before they spend anything on design. House Strategy gives you a clear view of the options, and a document you can use to start conversations – with a builder, a contractor, or whoever comes next.

What Happens on the Day

The session begins with a one to two hour visit to the property. We walk through the house together, talk about how you use it and what you want from it, and test ideas on the spot – where space could go, what the existing building allows, which constraints matter and which don’t.

You’ll need floor plans to scale beforehand. Estate agent plans are usually fine; if you don’t have any, a measured survey can be arranged for an additional fee.

Sessions are available across Derbyshire and the surrounding counties. Properties further afield can be arranged, with travel charged in addition.

What You Receive

Within two weeks of the visit you’ll receive a PDF setting out considerations and recommendations for the property, relevant precedents, and two sketch options showing different ways the space could work.

If you go on to appoint reWorks for a full design service within six months, the £950 fee is credited against your first stage fee.

We typically work on projects with construction budgets of £100,000 and above, including whole-house renovations, extensions, office fit-outs and hospitality projects.

For smaller projects, we offer standalone consultations, design reviews and strategy sessions, allowing clients to benefit from professional advice without committing to a full design service.
